With high forming accuracy, consistency and pleasant appearance, LM shaft is more and more applied to manufacturing of structures and interior parts of ship, high-speed train and other equipments. Available for batch production, saving material and energy, LM shaft is also called the mother of modern industrial production. Therefore, a country needs to attach importance to cultivation of LM shaft talents to be an industrial power. From cylinder die casting of the core generator of motor vehicle to stamping parts of vehicle body, from thermoforming die of super strong steel sheet to localization of core parts and components of automobile, the driving of LM shaft is required. In this sense, LM shaft is an important part of vehicle equipments.

According to incomplete statistics, 200 sets of LM shaft are required for interior parts of one vehicle only, and the output value of LM shafts is high up to RMB 100 million. Now, the LM shaft industry association of China is organizing relevant enterprises for material selection of interior parts, analysis and design of product structure, research and development of technologies for design and manufacturing of shafts and assembly of final product, to realize industrial application of the technology package in interior parts. In addition, LM shaft plays an important role in aerospace and other industries that relate to national strategic security. At present, the aviation manufacturing field has higher requirement for light weight. To meet this requirement, more efforts should be made to reduce the weight of sheet metal and interior parts.
